Katie always had a passion for writing and desired to use her writing skills to help people. After taking paralegal classes in college, including a family law class, she made the decision to attend law school with the goal of being a Family/Matrimonial Law attorney. In 2018, Katie graduated from Marist College, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications with a focus in Journalism.
Katie attended law school at Hofstra University where she was a staff writer for the Family Court Review. Her article, “Protection or Restriction: The Detriments of Abortion Decriminalization in New York and Proposed Feticide Law” is published in Volume 60 of the journal. During law school, Katie worked in the Staff Counsel office with GEICO, participated in the clinic program, was a student attorney with the Veterans Clinic, where she assisted veterans in obtaining discharge upgrades, receiving benefits, and obtaining access to mental health and medical professionals. Katie also worked with the Youth Advocacy clinic where she advocated for immigrant children in family and immigration court and was successful in helping several children avoid deportation to countries where they faced poverty, poor education and violence from gangs and family members. Katie joined the firm’s Family Law/Matrimonial team after graduating from law school and taking the bar exam. Katie enjoys applying the skills she acquired in college and law school to helping the clients of the firm achieve successful outcomes on their cases.
Katie lives on Long Island and enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking her beagle-mix, Tucker, on hikes.
