ATTORNEYS ANDREW BAROVICK AND ANSELMO ALEGRIA HELPING SOLES4SOULS ERADICATE EXTREME POVERTY
Attorneys Barovick Law and Anselmo Alegria, founding partners of Alegria & Barovick LLP, recently announced that their law office, located at 235 Main Street in White Plains, NY, is now an official drop-off location for Soles4Souls. “We are honored to be collecting donated shoes for this altruistic humanitarian organization, as we feel that doing anything charitable is a good thing; it helps people in need, sets a good example for our children, and makes us feel good about ourselves in a way that work cannot,” said Barovick. “We strongly encourage anyone who wants to help to drop off a new or gently worn pair of shoes, because every pair can go a long way in helping someone in need,” said Alegria.
To date, Soles4Souls has collected and distributed more than 26 million pairs of shoes to people in need in 127 countries around the world and all 50 states in the U.S. The vision of Soles4Souls is to eradicate extreme poverty by 2050. To achieve this goal, Soles4Souls monetizes used shoes and clothing to create sustainable jobs, as well as fund direct relief efforts, which include distribution of new shoes and clothing throughout the world.
“Everyone deserves a good pair of shoes, as each day children around the globe are prevented from attending school and adults are unable to work as walking becomes unbearable because of a lack of shoes,” said Barovick. “Soles4Souls helps the very poorest people get up on their feet by providing basic footwear for them, and Alegria & Barovick is proud to support them.”
