Family Court – Supervised Parenting Time, and Prevention of Social Media Disparagement for Abusive Former Partner

Child’s other parent petitioned the court for parenting time. Our client felt that the other parent would not adequately care for the child, who was 2 years old at the time. The other parent also repeatedly posted disparaging statements about our client on social media. Although the other parent had not been abusive to the child, they were threatening and verbally abusive to our client. We were successful in obtaining an order of protection for our client, a court order that prohibited the other parent from posting about our client on social media as well as a court order for supervised parenting time with the child.
